Easy to make roux
Serves: 1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of milk, or stock of your choice
  1. Melt the butter in a small sauce pan
  2. Add the flour and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Just long enough to remove the flour aroma. Remember to stir this constantly.
  3. Whisk in the room temperature liquid and whisk until thickened. About 2 to 4 minutes.
